This year I have come to appreciate the fall and winter seasons more than ever before. The cool cozy wood-burning air is so energizing and extra snugly + it adds such charm to the every day. I crave the time when hot tea, pumpkin bread, and twinkly lights make the house extra yummy and warm. Maybe I cherish this season so much because I love being at home with my family in Dallas or my sweet husband, especially when I am cuddled up in soft warm socks, loose fitting tees, and sweats.
I am so thrilled to be partnering with Aerie this month to show you a few of my hang-around-the-house ensembles. Not to mention, I am so honored to support the #AerieReal movement, which promotes anti-photoshopping. I hope everyone comes to notice their true beauty this holiday season. It seems that the important things come to light during the moments when the stores close, when we are forced to slow down and be. We all have flaws, and when they are fully embraced, that is beauty.
Everyone closest to me knows I live in cozy (no noun needed). When I wake up in the morning, I throw on this cozy faux fur vest or this fleece swingy poncho to warm up after I get out from under the covers. I love to mix and match over these flannel joggers and this #AerieReal tee. Oh! And how good are these slippers!?
After I read, answer a few emails and watch Kathie Lee and Hoda, I throw on this fringe turtleneck and call it a day. Or if I am feeling extra snugly, I will pair this teddy fleece with this pom beanie. Jason and I are headed to Big Sur this weekend, and I can’t wait to pack these warm pieces for our relaxed trip!
You guys. Here in Cali, the rumor is true: you rarely venture out of your neighborhood because the traffic is bananas. Your “kinda safe” window is from 11am – 2pm, but who knows if that will even be true. So today, I was up for a little change of scenery, took the risk, and adventured out to the beautiful Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica specifically to see the new Sole Society store.
I love this company so much because the shoes are amazing quality at an affordable price. Win, win! The store is absolutely adorable, and they make you feel so at home while you shop. I encourage all you Californians to go visit, and anyone outside of the state, put this on your go-to list when you are in town! Scroll down to shop some of my favorite pieces + I will show you what I splurged on.
Even though I’ve pretty much loved fashion since I was in the womb, there’s one wardrobe staple that I hadn’t yet obtained until this season: a trench coat. I always love how they look, but I feel like they are so New York, or…some city that’s not Dallas. When I saw this one though, I knew I had to have it! It’s oversized which gives it a more casual look, and it’s pretty lightweight which makes it perfect for Dallas weather. So, if you’re new to this wardrobe staple too, go for this olive trench coat! Such a great purchase.

As a girl who loves and lives fashion, I often get asked the question who my inspiration is when it comes to fashion, or when I first knew I loved fashion. My answers to these questions always comes back to my mom, which is why I am so excited to introduce ya’ll to her today in today’s post!
My mom and I are both wearing the Naturalizer Jordie boot (mine in grey and her’s in brown). What I love about the Naturalizer boot is that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style. We walked around in these boots all day and our feet still felt great at the end of the day!
Another thing that I love about this Naturalizer boot is that it will never go out of style. I’m wearing it now as a 25-year-old newly wed who is a major Dallas and fashion girl, and my mom is wearing them as a new grandmother who also values trends and style! You can shop this boot and more on Naturalizer.com!

This olive green fall dress ya’ll. I was at the mall returning something and then I laid eyes on this and without trying it on, I bought it. First of all, I love the olive green color. Second of all, it was less than $60. And lastly, I knew I’d be able to wear it anywhere and everywhere. I’ve worn it with a denim jacket, I’ve worn it with a long cardigan, and I’ve worn it by itself. Such a good purchase!

You know you made a good purchase when you buy something that you never want to take off. And you repeat the same outfit 3 times in one week because you love it so much. That’s exactly how I feel about this faux shearling vest.
What I love about this (faux) shearling vest is how versatile it is. It hasn’t been cold enough in Texas yet for a big heavy vest, but I’ve been able to wear this one with a short-sleeved tee because it’s pretty light-weight! It also has pockets and is the softest thing in the world.
The other great thing about this shearling vest is that you can make it as dressy or casual as you want. I paired mine with distressed skinny jeans but you could also do it with a black skinny pant and heels for a dressier look!
