You know you made a good purchase when you buy something that you never want to take off. And you repeat the same outfit 3 times in one week because you love it so much. That’s exactly how I feel about this faux shearling vest.
What I love about this (faux) shearling vest is how versatile it is. It hasn’t been cold enough in Texas yet for a big heavy vest, but I’ve been able to wear this one with a short-sleeved tee because it’s pretty light-weight! It also has pockets and is the softest thing in the world.
The other great thing about this shearling vest is that you can make it as dressy or casual as you want. I paired mine with distressed skinny jeans but you could also do it with a black skinny pant and heels for a dressier look!

When it comes to make-up, I am a creature of habit. (Okay when it comes to most things in life, I’m a creature of habit). But especially when it comes to lipstick/lip gloss. I find one I like and pretty much don’t change. Let me tell you though, Buxom’s new bold gel lipsticks have been a total game-changer for me.
The collection (find it here) is available in 30 saturated satin & matte shades. So basically you’ll never need to buy another thing of lipstick in your life! These lipsticks are amazing because they don’t feel like lipstick. They’re made from an ultra-light gel formula and are super moisturizing.
I noticed right away when I tried them on that each shade has such a rich color to it. Even the one I’m wearing here (called Naturally Daring) is a neutral/nude color but a very rich nude. Every shade offers a rich, beautiful color.
This collection comes in so many shades that you really can wear it everyday. I wore it (as seen above) in a neutral shade, but they have so many other perfect fall lipstick colors that can transform any outfit from “everyday” to fierce and bold (Like Sultry Mauve or Ruby Temptress!)
This post was created in partnership with Buxom Cosmetics.
There are some combinations in the fashion world that are just magical. And in my opinion, olive green + denim + leopard is one of those combinations. This olive green dress is not only adorable on its own (and 40% off right now!) but it’s also the perfect layering dress. It’s perfect with a denim jacket, or a leopard-print scarf would also be adorable.
I wore it recently on a (still) hot summer night in Dallas, but this will be making several appearances in cooler months as well (but probably paired with booties!)
As wonderful as this olive green dress is, the real star of the show here is this leopard foldover clutch. It’s not only great just because it’s beautiful to look at, but since I got it maybe 2 weeks ago, I’ve worn it with at least 10 outfits. I wore it to a wedding, wore it with distressed jeans, dressed it up, dressed it down…it really is perfect! The quality is amazing so I know it will last me years to come, and the colors are the perfect neutral combination so you can pair it with anything and everything.

Sometimes as a blogger I feel the need to come up with really creative outfits. To put something together that maybe you wouldn’t have thought of on your own. SO I was hesitant to shoot this simple/classic look that I’m sharing with you today. (I mean, a red plaid shirt for Fall? Not the most creative). But honestly, it was love at first sight between this red plaid shirt & myself. And I just thought it was too good to not share with you.
Another reason I wanted to share this look today is because each one of these pieces (the red plaid shirt, these dark skinny jeans, these booties, and this hobo bag) are amazing Fall basics. The price point on these items might be higher than what I typically post, but I have already gotten (and will continue to get) so much use out of them. Believe me when I say, they are worth the money! I’m all about a bargain and a good sale, but when it comes to jeans, it’s worth the investment to get a pair that fits well, and that are great quality.
If you’re wanting sizing information: the shirt runs pretty big. I’m wearing an XS and it’s still a little loose, which I love! The jeans are pretty true to size (I’m wearing a 25), and I love how they fit!

Anything oversized, boho, and less than $50…is just my weakness in life. This tunic dress I’m sharing with you today was one of those items I saw online and before I knew it, it was in my closet without a second thought!
It’s still pretty hot in Dallas so I just paired this with my favorite pair of booties and a classic hobo bag. But what I love about this tunic is that it’ll be perfect in the fall with distressed skinny jeans and boots!

SO hard to believe that today is the last day of August and it’s time for school-supply shopping and new staples for your wardrobe to take you back to school, or transition you to cooler temperatures!
I’ve put together a little shopping guide for you today with great basics that are all well under $100. They’re perfect for classroom attire (when you’re not in Nike shorts), or just great basics for any Fall wardrobe. Enjoy!
