Don’t you love when you have go-to staple basics in your closet? Like they are so good, you wish you had one in every color? I recently discovered a new favorite: the perfect white tank. Did I mention it’s only $20? It’s fitted just enough + flatters every figure + alludes a chill vibe. #caliiswearingoffonme || scroll down to see two ways to style it.
A lovable black bootie + a soft cozy statement-scarf + my favorite denim = the go-to look for a lunch meeting or a dinner date. Oh, and a warm pop with some faux fur. I don’t know what it is about the navy hue: it has a more casual feel than black and fits the daytime so well.
So, I may or may not have had a little too much fun shopping the LOFT Friends & Family sale today! The entire store (and website) are 40% off, including sale items! Perfect time to refresh your winter wardrobe, or start stocking up on gifts any girl would love! I think my favorite thing from my shopping trip today is these camo pants (below). They come in their “relaxed skinny” fit, which is my favorite.

So, it’s no secret that shopping is a big hobby of mine (more like a way of life, really). The one thing though I’ve always struggled to find when shopping is the perfect dress for a Fall wedding. Summer is so easy. Take your pick from the hundreds of sundresses or strapless cocktail dresses. Fall has been trickier for me though, until I recently found this dress.
I’m crazy about this dress really because of the sleeve detail. It definitely reps that cape trend we talked about in the previous post, and feels so feminine! When I wore this dress recently to a wedding, I wore it with these heels, but for this shoot I was just walking around Dallas so I dressed it down with my go-to booties. (This dress also comes in a stunning wine color, it was a tough decision for me!)

Fun fact about Lauren: one of my first retail jobs ever was at Ann Taylor LOFT, freshman year of college. It was a great job where I learned a lot, helped women shop, and really fell in love with the brand. To this day, if I ever need something quick and don’t have a lot of time to shop, I know I can count on LOFT – whether it’s for work clothes, gameday attire, or just something cozy and casual. The look I’m wearing in this post is head to toe LOFT & I love that it can be work appropriate, but still fun and flirty for a dinner out! Considering my love for neutrals, I instantly fell in love with this mock neck sweater as it has not just one, but TWO neutral colors in it.
I paired this mock neck pullover with a fun flirty skirt, which is perfect for Fall. On warmer days you can just wear it as is, and as the temperature cools down, it would be perfect with tights and black booties!
What I also love about this outfit too is that you don’t have to pick between gold or silver accessories – you can do both!
Thanks Lindsey Shea for these wonderful photos!
I’ve always known that October is breast cancer awareness month, but it wasn’t until recently that I discovered it’s also National Pit Bull Awareness month and Adopt a Shelter Dog month! Beau and I were so excited to partner with Milk & Honey Boutique to help raise awareness for these causes.
