long weekend = big sales!

I feel like every retail store uses any and every excuse they can for a sale. Which I’m completely okay with. This weekend in particular, was Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day tomorrow! I’ve done a little shopping guide for you of all the amazing sales going on (with some of my favorite pieces included). For the winter sale items: this is the perfect time to grab some adorable sweaters for next Fall or buy that coat you had been eyeing all season. A lot of stores too (LOFT) are doing sales on their new arrivals as well! Happy Shopping!

  1. LOFT – 50% off select new arrivals, an additional 60% off sale!!
  2. Madewell – Extra 30% off sale styles with code “AMOUR”
  3. ASOS – 20% off with the code “PREZDAY20″
  4. Milk & Honey Boutique – Free shipping with code “BEMINEXO”
  5. Nordstrom – up to 40% off shoes! No code needed!

Here are a few of my top picks from these sales!

the art of “cozy chic”

I couldn’t help but notice, scrolling through my Instagram feed recently, that everyone & their mom seem to be somewhere snowy and beautiful right now. Either on a ski trip or cozied up in a cabin somewhere. While I can’t be too jealous because my ski trip is coming up in February!, it made me realize the importance of having clothes that are not just comfortable, but that you still feel cute in.

So, whether you’re going to the mountains over spring break, or have decided you just don’t feel the cutest in your size XL sweatpants and older brother’s shirt…I’ve rounded up some of my favorite “comfy chic” pieces from Anthro & Lou & Grey because I think they are the masters at this look!

Cozy looks for days:

lou & grey: spreading style, comfort, and joy.

On Friday, I took a super short California road trip to Pasadena to visit a shop that was on my radar: Lou & Grey. I immediately fell in love when I walked in the door: the art on the walls were so organically chic, and the racks were lined with the most fabulous neutrals + the service made for the most lovely shopping experience. #inheaven || Scroll down for snaps and links to my favorite looks, which include my new live-without jacket and joggers.

How to: deck the halls

To quote the greatest movie of all time: “The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear“. And also…putting lights, trees, and garland anywhere and everywhere!

Seeing as this is mine and my husband’s first married Christmas, we are pretty low in the Christmas decor department. Also, we live in an apartment, so no outdoor decorations for us…meaning we must go all-out on the inside of our little home! If you’re like me and live in an apartment, or its your first Christmas to be in your own place…you may need a little kickstart to purchasing your first Christmas decorations. So, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite Christmas decorations for you! I love all of these pieces because they are so cheery, and will instantly give your home/apartment a warm and inviting Christmas spirit. Hover over the image to get links to each item!

the LOLO Mag gift guide

November has finally arrived! Meaning it’s basically Thanksgiving aka basically CHRISTMAS. My absolute favorite time of year. The shopping aspect of Christmas can either make or break the season for ya – depending on if you save your shopping till the last minute. Lo & I wanted to help you out by putting together a gift guide to get you started! These gifts are all under (or around) $50 & are guaranteed to please any friend, sister, co-worker, or mom. My BKR water bottle – This had been on my wishlist for quite some time. I finally caved a few months ago and bought mine and have used it every day since! Not only is it adorable and so well made, but it really does help you to drink more water throughout the day. They might be pricier than your good ole plastic water bottle, but it will last you forever (and looks cuter too).

How adorable is this Anthropologie Christmas plate? Lo had the great idea that instead of buying the whole set, you could just buy one and use it for cookies!

Okay, I am personally obsessed with this initial plate necklace. It’s definitely on my Christmas list and would make a great gift for just about anyone.

This Nest Candle in pumpkin chai instantly makes your house smell like Fall and baking, and who wouldn’t want that? This is a great gift for coworkers or neighbors!

Did you know TOMS now makes slippers?! I am in love with this adorable pair with the aztec-feel print

Oribe hair products are both mine & Lo’s favorites. Once i tried their shampoo & conditioner, I never went back! This travel kit would make the perfect gift for any of your girlfriends that really value great hair care!

Let’s be honest – you just can’t go wrong with a Kate Spade phone case – especially in this holiday-esque white and gold color!

Hope this helped you get a jump start on your Christmas shopping. Shop our gift guide here!:
